About Radical Face

Radical Face is a musical act founded and almost entirely run by Ben Cooper from Jacksonville, Florida. Cooper chose the name Radical Face upon seeing a flyer for plastic surgery which said “Radical face-lift” with the word “lift” torn off (Wikipedia). His music typically has a folksy flavor, but he also experiments with sounds from other genres. He was kicked out of his house by his stepdad at the age of 14 for coming out as gay. Recently, he adopted his niece and testified for her after finding out she was sexually abused by his stepdad. Elements of these events can be found throughout his songs, especially in his “Family Tree” project that now spans four full-length albums. Cooper is also a part of Electric President and has worked on projects including Clone and Patients
