R SOUL is a musician born in, and currently residing Maryland. Growing up, R SOUL always had a passion for music and began singing at an early age. He even preformed at a kindergarten talent show and sang Justin Bieber’s hit song “Baby”. R SOUL would go on to mention Justin Bieber as one of his biggest inspirations. Other inspirations include Bryson Tiller, Logic, Nirvana, and many more. R SOUL began releasing music during his teenage years with his earliest songs being lost to time.
Later on he began collaborating with artists Snow Interlude, Kid $lit, and Kid Maji. All 4 formed the group XTCY and they released a song called “DEATH NOTES.” The collective was short lived and broke apart due to drama between members in the group. Around this time R SOUL released a song called “My Dream Lover” which started getting attention after Prod. Sober posted it to his YouTube channel. R SOUL did have a song get attention before, that song is called “INSOMNIA”, however “My Dream Lover” would eventually become his bigger hit.
His next track “UNDERWATER” FT. AYLIEN BLUE also became a hit in the underground and would become his first song to hit 10K plays on SoundCloud. He would the go on to release the song Overstressin' Exes with fellow collaborator Snow Interlude.
On July 4th, 2020, R SOUL released his DEBUT EP “The Things I Cannot Change”. The EP mostly focused on an alternative rock sound. The EP was met with mostly high praise but most of the songs would be deleted due to low plays.
Around the fall of 2020, R SOUL announced his EP/COMPILATION “Mirrors.” The entire project would be made up of singles that were released over the next few months. Some of the most notable are “SETTLE DOWN” FT. TILFALL and “From My Soul” FT. Kid Maji.
As of May 2021, R SOUL is currently working on another EP called “TRUST THE PROCESS.” ,4 tracks have already been released for the project which are LIGHTS OFF, NOSTALGIA, 9 PM FT. SNOW INTERLUDE, AND RAGEQUIT.
