Q Steven Marsden (born 1999), simply known as Q, is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer from Broward County, FL.
Born into a family of Jamaican musicians – his father is reggae producer Steven “Lenky” Marsden, while his mother played keyboards for dancehall artists Beenie Man and Bounty Killer – he grew up musically between his father’s record studio and the choir of the church.
Neverthless, despite being raised by musician parents, he was never taught how to play instruments and he learned piano, guitar, and drums on his own. In 2013, he approached production after hearing Drake’s album, Nothing Was the Same.
In 2020, after two independent release, Q released his major label debut, The Shave Experiment, via Columbia Records.
