About Purp Dogg

Christopher Rowe (b. May 10, 1995), better known as Purp Dogg, is a multi-platinum producer from Albany, New York. He is a popular underground producer who also managed to work with famous artists such as Ski Mask the Slump God.

Purp Dogg’s popularity stemmed from when he worked with Atlanta-based rapper Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em for “We Made It”, appearing as the intro track for his mixtape, The King. Although the song itself wasn’t too big, Drake hopped on the beat a month after for “We Made It Freestyle”, helping the song’s popularity by a ton. However, this was nothing compared to what was about to come. Purp produced Rob $tone’s song, “Chill Bill”, released on June 25, 2015. This turned out to be a very big hit – peaking at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 a year after the song’s release. It has received double platinum status.
