About PUFFY

PUFFY (パフィー), known in the United States as Puffy AmiYumi, is a Japanese pop-rock group currently signed to Warner Music Japan. The band consists of two members: Ami Onuki (大貫 亜美) and Yumi Yoshimura (吉村 由美). The duo had their first breakthrough in Japan for their 1998 album JET-CD.

Puffy is most known in the United States for performing the theme song to the incredibly popular 2003 Cartoon Network program Teen Titans, as well as a cover of a song in an episode of its spinoff, Teen Titans Go!, titled “The Night Begins To Shine”. This success in the US also led to their own animated show on Cartoon Network in 2004, titled Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. The short-lived show followed a fictionalized version of the duo on the road and life between shows, as well as a few live-action segments.

They have released a total of 12 studio albums, 6 of which have been released in the US.
