Hailing from the Hiram Clarke neighborhood in Houston, TX, Propain has emerged as a voice for the new generation of Houston rappers. Propain had his proper debut in 2013 when he released his Ridin' Slab mixtape, which featured artists such as Kirko Bangz, Slim Thug, and Rich Homie Quan. After a three year gap, Propain released the DJ X.O.-produced album 7 Day Theory in 2018.

He’s gained respect from OGs such as Z-Ro, Bun B, and Lil Keke, as well as his peers like Sauce Walka and Doughbeezy. Propain has been helping bridge the gap between the old and new generation in the Houston, and his music emphasizes this statement.
