1/3rd of the legendary hip hop group 3rd Bass, Pete Nice (born Peter J. Nash in Floral Park, Long Island, New York), along with MC Serch and DJ Richie Rich released two gold-selling albums (The Cactus Album and Derelicts of Dialect)
before disbanding in 1992. Nice subsequently teamed up with Richie Rich, and the pair released their only collaboration, Dust to Dust, in 1993.
