Richard Dixon, better known by his stage name Premo Rice, is a rapper and producer from Prince George’s County, Maryland. The self-proclaimed “Pimp God” and “Bishop Mack” came into the game around 2012 by way of making beats. Not too fond of how other rappers flowed on them, he started rhyming over his own work.
He had a following on Vine in the early 2010s but stopped making content to increase his marketability as an artist. Since his 2015 debut album Mack Sagas, he has released multiple credible projects and a Greatest Hits compilation. Infamous pimps – as well as the prostitutes he met while in Hawai'i as an Audio Engineering student – are the main sources of influence for his material. His sound is inspired by legends to the likings of Curtis Mayfield and Isaac Hayes, the ‘70/'80s, G-funk, and Go-Go.
He aspires to be a full-time producer in the near future and is also co-owner of Live Forever Recordings with friends and fellow rappers Aye Jae, K!ng Joe, and Chino Grigio.
