Nathan Chisanga, better known as Preditah, is a garage, grime and bassline record producer from Birmingham, England. He’s also a bass guitarist. His iconic producer tag samples vocals from Tempa.
He made his breakthrough in 2012 with the now-infamous grime instrumental “Circles”, released through acclaimed radio DJ Logan Sama’s record label EARTH616. Later the same year, he enjoyed his first chart success, with Jme’s “Murking” entering the UK Singles Chart at number 90.
In 2013 and 2014, he was commissioned to remix numerous chart hits including Dizzee Rascal’s “Something Really Bad”, Kove’s “Way We Are”, Disclosure’s “Stimulation”, Blonde’s “I Loved You” and Chase & Status’s “Blk & Blu”.
“Circles” continued to prove so popular that he ended up creating a record label and subsequent tour of the same name throughout 2015-16, supported by the likes of Skepta, DJ Target and Bassboy. Around the same time, he signed to pop/dance music label 3Beat, with whom he released the singles “Selecta” and “Supernaturally” (featuring Yasmin). He also created remixes for Lethal Bizzle, Wilkinson, Riton, WSTRN, and Jax Jones.
Closely affiliated with the grime collective Boy Better Know, he has frequently produced tracks for its members, including Wiley and Frisco.
In 2017, he released FABRICLIVE.92, taken from the prestigious London nightclub Fabric’s series of mix CDs. In the summer of the same year, he entered the UK top 40 with the Jorja Smith collaboration “On My Mind”.
