About Powderfinger

Powderfinger is a Queensland Rock Band formed in Brisbane, Australia in 1989. They released seven albums and two compilations from 1994 – 2009.

They performed at several charity events to raise money in times following natural disasters.

In 2007 they announced their tour “Across the Great Divide” with Silverchair which promoted a foundation created to improve the welfare of the Indigenous people of Australia.

In April 2010, they announced their disbandment after their Sunsets Farewell Tour.
