Porte Diferente secures its first No. 1 on any Billboard chart as Es Diferente opens atop the Regional Mexican Albums chart on the Oct. 17 survey. The group’s sophomore effort concurrently arrives at No. 2 on Top Latin Albums.

“Reaching the top of the charts with this album is something we didn’t really expect,” lead singer Brayan Andrade tells Billboard. “It’s a dream come true. We started this project in November 2019 and is very surreal what we have accomplished in less than a year. We never thought that people would connect in this manner with our music. We are really thankful for their support.”

Es Diferente was released Oct. 2 via Rancho Humilde. The band’s first full-length album arrives with 11,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 8, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Most of the album’s opening sum is attributed to streaming activity: The 16-track set earned 16.3 million on-demand streams for its songs in the tracking week.
