Poor Thomas

Poor Thomas is a RnB, Hip-Hop and Latin producer from the Netherlands. He was drawn towards these genres because of the musical influences in his family. His grandpa always said that he would give Thomas a guitar if he learned to play, but this wasn’t really Thomas' thing. So… at the age of 10, Thomas started experimenting with electronic music.

His music is very much influenced by artists like Michael Jackson, Ella Mai, Drake, Ronnie Flex and Beyoncé. He makes a lot of wavy RnB beats, but also Dancehall with a summer vibe. His beats are quite diverse, but you can always recognize the booming 808 drums, the happy RnB leads and the Soul keys.

A few years later, Thomas also started DJ'ing. After winning the Dancetour DJ Clash, he got to play at Dancetour Arnhem and since then he is on his way up. The sound that he represents during his sets reflects the music that he stands for. His sound can be described as a journey between Old-school and New-school Rnb/ Hip-Hop, with Urban, Latin and Soul influences. He has the skills to get people to shake their booties, and this is actually what he loves the most about performing and making music.

After finishing high school, Thomas passed the audition of the Amsterdam Electronic Music Academy and he is currently studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.

Poor Thomas is working hard on a lot of new releases that are coming soon and he is definitely an artist to watch!
