Pookie Duke aka Pookie Dookie was a rapper from Compton, California that worked with Tha Hit-Men – the supergroup created by Rodney O, Joe Cooley and Vanilla Ice.

He appeared heavily on the Hit-Men 1993 album.

He would go on to have two solo albums, his second album being a favorite of Tyler the Creator.

He had pretty much stopped rapping after the 90’s but in 2016, he was planning on a reunion tour with Tha Hit-Men and a new album with production by Joe Cooley.

He died in his sleep from the flu in 2017.
