Hailing from Apia, Samoa, Ventry “Poetik” Parker reps his hometown’s hip-hop scene with a sound reminiscent of the 90’s West Coast/G-funk style. His lyrics revolve around racial issues and Polynesian street life and culture. He is a member of the Samoan hip-hop supergroup Machete District alongside fellow rappers SMV and Tha Movement.

He was awarded the Philip Fuemana Most Promising Pacific Artist Award at the 2018 Pacific Music Awards.
