Phenomenon (Phenom) is a Nigerian Hip-Hop artist who came up in the underground Nigerian hip-hop circuit when he was a student at the University of Lagos.

He was discovered and signed by his first record label, Knighthouse, in 2011, while doing a freestyle at an open mic. After his label ran into some financial issues, his music career took a break. He refused to sign to other labels during this difficult time, and stayed loyal to Knighthouse. After his contract expired, he quit the music business.

Following his exit from the business, he relauched his music career in 2017 as Phenomenon, under a new record label called Trick Billionaire MusiQ.

He is influenced by U.S. Hip-hop artists like Eminem, Royce da 5’9, Lil’ Wayne and Drake.
