About Peter Wolf Crier

Peter Wolf Crier is an American indie-rock duo from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band is made up of singer/guitarist Peter Pisano & drummer Brian Moen. Though the group originally started out of Minneapolis, Minnesota around 2009, each of the band members have moved on to different locales since.

The group has released three full length albums since 2010. The first two releases were on Jagjaguwar. Their first release, Inter-Be, has a sound that is a solid mix of folk and indie-rock. Of Inter-Be, Pisano has said, “There was a sort of naive charm on that first record…” Peter Wolf Crier’s big-time indie label, Jagjaguwar, home to artists like Bon Iver, Sharon Van Etten, and Dinosaur Jr., ended up dropping the band from its roster following the disappointing impact of their second record Garden of Arms, which shows the band taking a more artistic statement. The follow up to this was Plum Slump which Pisano describes as “…coming from the heart again, but I think it’s way more grown up.”
