Pete Loeffler is an American guitarist and vocalist for the melodic-rock band Chevelle, formed in 1995. He is one of three members, including brother Sam Loeffler (drummer) and brother-in-law Dean Bernardini (bassist). Pete is from Grayslake, Illinois.
The son of a carpenter, he too took up the profession in his early years. Both Pete and brother Sam took after their father and are car aficionados, having named the band after their fathers favorite car.
Pete and brothers Sam and Joe Loeffler got their start in the Chicagoland area playing and selling out venues such as The Double Door on Milwaukee Ave. Chevelle would soon sign to Squint Entertainment to release their first studio album, Point #1.
Pete constantly writes and has a plethora of guitar riffs saved on his iPhone to pull from when the writing process for an album begins. Pete’s writing process is a key reason why Chevelle has been able to stay consistent over the course of their career.
