About PETALE

The alias of electronic musician Lucas Radouch, Petale makes alternative and experimental synth-focused music that transports the listener to new realms. Focused on the future, Petale strives to make art and music that break conventional barriers to encourage new types of learning, expression, and collaboration.

Lucas comes from a traditional music upbringing and started taking classical piano lessons and performing at the age of six. He was exposed to untraditional electronic music at a young age, inspiring him to start experimenting with synthesizers in middle school. In high school, Lucas was heavily involved in other creative arts such as woodworking, ceramics, and he also performed on keys in various improv shows. While finishing his senior year in high school, he combined his passions for technology, visual arts, and sound to build a unique music visualizer, inspired by Toby & Pete.

Lucas graduated from Ithaca College with a major in economics and a combined minor study of physics and sound. At Ithaca, Lucas studied non-conventional music production methods under Peter Rothbart, where he experimented with alternative sound manipulation and synthesis techniques. On June 1st, 2018, Lucas released his first official collaboration: Where Your Lips Have Been (Petale Remix) with Aaron Rizzo, another graduate of Ithaca College who studied sound recording technology. On May 10th, 2019, Lucas released his first single: Breathe featuring Hannah Byron. On April 3rd, 2020, he released his first multitrack project titled ‘V’.
