PBG Kemo, real name Rakeem Day, is a drill rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Born on August 20th, 1996, he lived in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Chi-Town sometime during his childhood where he lived in the Far North Side neighborhood―Rogers Park.
Kemo’s name stems from his gang affiliations. Originally known as the Insane Cutthroat Gangsters, the Gangster Disciple faction adopted the name Pooh Bear Gang in honor of their fallen member ― Anton “Pooh Bear“ Sanders. He was a young Illinois teenager who was killed in a senseless act of violence while walking in rival territory. He was only 15.
PBG Kemo began rapping in 2015, collaborating with other PBG members such as Bang Da Hitta, Lil Shawn, and Spazz Out. He released his first mixtape ― 3 P'z The Mixtape ― on July 4th, 2016.
