About Patrick Cash

I’m a writer living in London. As a poet, I founded the night Spoken Word London, and my poem ‘Hate’ features on the ‘Hate Me’ track with DJ/producer KDA, available to stream now. I also write for the theatre, where my productions include a queer adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Arcola Theatre; The Clinic, Queers and The Chemsex Monologues at the King’s Head Theatre; Superficial at The Glory; and The HIV Monologues at Theatre 503, the Ace Hotel Shoreditch and the National Gallery; all coming under my work with Dragonflies Theatre. Both The HIV Monologues and The Chemsex Monologues are published by Oberon Books, with The Chemsex Monologues nominated for the Polari Prize 2017. The HIV Monologues was staged in Sydney this year, and Dragonflies have toured to Adelaide, Sydney, Dublin and France. Journalistically, I’ve been a senior contributing editor to Attitude, and have written for Vice and Dazed. I’ve been named ‘One to Watch’ on The Independent on Sunday’s Rainbow List as a playwright, and was placed on the Pride Power List published in The Observer. – Patrick Cash
