Patrick Charles Eugene Boone (b. June 1, 1934) is an American icon most well known for his music in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
Born in Florida and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Boone has had a wide ranging career as a singer, actor, composer, author, motivational speaker, television personality, and conservative political commentator.
According to Billboard, he was the second-highest-charting artist of the late 1950s, behind only Elvis Presley. He hosted the half-hour ABC variety television series, The Pat Boone Chevy Showroom from 1957 to 1960 and in the 2003 was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
