Parachute is an American pop-rock band, founded in the college town of Charlottesville, Virginia.
In 2006, high-schoolers Will Anderson, Johnny Stubblefield, Christopher “Kit” French, Alex Hargrave and Nate McFarland formed the band, under the original name Sparky’s Flaw.
Initially, the band generated buzz around town, eventually becoming popular at the University of Virginia. After releasing, independently, their first EP, they partnered with a management company and got signed.
The band, now, includes only Will Anderson (vocals, guitar, piano), Johnny Stubblefield (drums) and “Kit” French (keyboards, vocals, saxophone).
