Formed in 1985 in Portland, Oregon, the band consisted of Courtney Love, Kat Bjelland, Janis Tanaka and Jennifer Finch. Love and Bjelland had formed the short-lived band originally going by the name Sugar Babydoll. The band recorded a demo tape on a 4-track cassette deck in December 1985, this being the only songs the band would record together prior to them eventually departing that same year.
