The Leader, born in the Bronx, New York-grew up in Richmond, Virginia, is an exceptional singer-songwriter, rapper, producer, dancer, and musician in the Neo-Soul, Pop, Rap/Hip-Hop, R&B, and Alternative genres of music. He started making music in 2018 and in 2019 he debuted his first single.

Although neo-soul music has a strong foundation in soul music, it differs from its modern R&B cousin in sound by incorporating elements of funk, jazz fusion, hip hop, African music, pop, rock, and electronic music, which makes the music that P.Y. As a small child, P.Y. The Leader would bang pots and pans in his mother’s kitchen so much that she decided to buy him a drum kit. He has always been passionate about music since his childhood. Years later, he started playing drums for his church choir. P.Y. The Leader has always had an extreme love for music—he always had his earbuds in, daydreaming and lost in his head. P.Y. The Leader taught himself the piano, and by 2018 he was producing original tracks. In the future, P.Y., The Leader plans on dropping a rap album in October of 2022.
