Outlawz

AKA: Dramacydal, Outlaw Immortalz, Young Thugz, Thoro Headz

About Outlawz

In the earlier years of Outlawz, they were known as “Young Thugz” and composed of K-Dog who later became Kastro, Young Hollywood who later became Yaki Kadafi, Mutah or Mu who later became Napoleon, and Big Malik who later became E.D.I. Mean. They were also known as Thoro Headz when they first appeared on a B-Side track for the 1993 2Pac single, “Holler if You Hear Me.”

While 2Pac was still locked up in the Clinton Correctional Facility prison, he used to hear prisoners slanging words e.g. “-cydal,” and “man, that’s dramacydal,” so he decided to give the name, Dramacydal, to his group through a phone call. Original members of Dramacydal comprised of Napoleon “Lil Mu”, Malcolm Greenridge “Big Malik”, Yafe Fulu “Young Hollywood”, and Katari Cox “K-Dog”. Napoleon clarified in an interview that they appeared on couple of tracks on the “Me Against the World” album. Notably “Me Against the World” and “Outlaw”.

Upon 2Pac’s release from prison and signing to Death Row Records, he recruited others to form Outlaw Immortalz. Some of his first recruits were his step-brother, Mopreme Shakur, as Komani and Big Syke, as Mussolini both were from the Thug Life group. The following members were comprised of names similar to those that were enemies of the United States historically, as Fatal Hussien, aka Bruce Washington, referring to Saddam Hussien, the former president of Iraq. Napoleon, aka Mutah Beale, E.D.I. Mean, aka Malcolm Greenridge, Kastro, aka Katari Cox, Yafe Fulu, aka Yaki Kadafi, and Storm, aka Donna Harkless. Together they formed the original lineup of Outlaw Immortalz that debuted on 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me.

Shortly after the group was featured on All Eyez On Me, 2Pac added Young Noble to the group.
The group remained in slight obscurity until the release of 2Pac’s first posthumous album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. After appearing on songs like “Bomb First”, “Hail Mary”, “Life of an Outlaw”, and “Just Like Daddy”, the voices were familiar in relation to 2Pac’s music and just about every hip-hop fan knew about Outlawz.
