Oula Dara (born January 12, 1941) is a jazz cornetist, guitarist, and singer. He is most well-known for being the father of the legendary rapper Nas and featuring on a couple of his songs, such as “Bridging the Gap” and “Street’s Disciple”, which feature his vocals. As well as “Life’s a Bitch”, which features him playing the trumpet.
Dara has released two albums, In the World: From Natchez to New York (1998) and Neighborhoods (2001).
