OH91 (born 21 December 1991) is a grime producer and DJ from Cotham, Bristol, England. His stage name is derived from his initials and his birth year.
He gained notoriety with his 2014 remix of Ruff Sqwad’s classic instrumental “Xtra”, released through the prestigious Coyote Records. The beat, which received a vinyl release, was also vocalled by MIK and Ego the same year. OH91 told Complex:
I had a set with Novelist earlier that year and towards the end of our set I played “XTRA91” for the first time ever and everyone was like, “What the fuck is this?!”
Outside of Coyote Records, he has worked extensively with Bristol grime crew Cheese & Bread, and has also released tracks through White Peach Records.
His single “Shuttle”, finally released in 2017, has also been used as the basis for two diss tracks: Jay0117’s Grim Sickers send, “Black Bin Bag Who?”, and Reece West’s Saint P diss, “Facts”. It was also used by Row D and So Large on “Talking Crud” and SBK on “Get That Time”.
