When he’s not galavanting around Japan, buying useless baby pink heirlooms from Tokyo vending machines, Oh Boy is hard at work becoming one of Australia’s most talked about producers, and achieving all this while dressing better than you.
Oh Boy teamed up the OZ rap queen Mallrat for a successful couple of singles in 2017 and a performance at Splendour In The Grass. Both “Bunny Island” and “Rush Hour” enjoyed radio play on FBI Radio, Triple J, Unearthed and were featured on Triple J’s Home & Hosed. “Rush Hour” climbed to #3 on the Viral 50 Australia Spotify charts and has ticked over the 1 million streams mark. Oh Boy rounded out 2017 with Sam Bluer featuring on “Love Me Right” and plenty of Spotify playlisting including “New Music Friday”.
After a vibrant live show at The Plot, Oh Boy dived into 2018 joining forces with imbi the girl to create “you see me”. The track was debuted Triple J’s Home & Hosed and was playlisted on Apple Music’s “Best Of The WeeK” in addition to Spotify’s “New Music Friday”. Oh Boy joined Nicole Miller on a national tour this June showcasing an engaging and original live show. Most recently, Oh Boy was hand picked by Alison Wonderland to participate in the EXTRA Support Acts campaign. This campaign partners with YouTube, Wrigley’s EXTRA and Universal Music to promote young Australian musicians. Working with TASHKA’S alluring vocals to dream up the track known as “So Good”, Oh Boy’s next release is all set for late September.
