Melbourne-based producer and vocalist NYNE made her first big leap onto the scene by way of collaborating with Drake’s hit-making OVO collective. After meeting with OVO’s own Sevn Thomas, known for producing such critically acclaimed songs as Kanye’s “Real Friends,” Rihanna’s “Work” and Drake’s “Pop Style,” Sevn got a taste of Nyne’s musical ability and jumped on the opportunity to get involved. It wasn’t long before Thomas put his famous production wizardry into action on the song “Can’t Sleep Alone,” which she recently followed up with the stunning single, “Bad Trip,” produced by Chiefs. Hyped by the likes of The FADER and Idolator, Nyne is starting out remarkably strong while already rubbing elbows with hip-hop and R&B’s cream of the crop.
