About Nulbarich

Led and produced by the singer-songwriter JQ (Jeremy Quartus), Nulbarich (or ナルバリッチ) is a Japanese band that plays unique grooves based on African-American music, including soul, funk, and acid jazz.

Formed three years ago (2016), they’ve thoroughly cemented their place in Japan’s music scene with numerous songs featured in commercials, an appearance at the Asian Festival, and a completely sold-out Nippon Budokan concert.

Releasing approx. one year after their successful second album, H.O.T, which ranked 7th on Japan’s Oricon chart, their long-awaited third album contains many songs that have been used in tie-ups with other media, including the ending themes of TV Tokyo’s Thursday drama Designer Shibui Naoto no Kyuujitsu and the movie Missing Johnny as well as songs featured in commercials for Shiseido ANESSA, Citizen, and Mitsui Outlet.

The word Nulbarich as described by them is a combination of three words; Null (zero), but and Rich (wealthy, being filled).
