Norman Michael
Norman (C Life) Michael was born in Gainesville, Florida. He grew up in a single parent home under the guidance of his mother, along with seven siblings. Without the presence of their fathers, he witnessed his mother struggle on a daily basis to provide for them the best way she could. Although they faced many hardships at that time, the one thing that held his family together despite their adversities was their commitment to God.
His mother had always kept them firmly grounded in their local church, which instilled hope and a foundation of the Christian faith in their lives. On December 25, 2000 at the age of 11, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and dedicated his life to Him in return. Within two years of making this covenant with God, he fell in love with gospel rap and the opportunity to glorify God through it. Much to his surprise, his passion for music was an innate gifting that God had given him long before he even recognized it for himself. The following year he began his very own Christian rap group; but it was short lived. Despite this minor setback, he persevered and independently developed his ministry as a gospel vocalist. By the grace and power of God, he has been able to excel in ways he could have never imagined.
He’s not only a vocalist, but God has equipped him with the ability to produce music as well. Going to school for music engineering, he also has an ear for sound and talent. Becoming the lead praise & worship leader at his church, he has matured as a Christian and understands that God uses us when we best fit our calling. His vision is to spread the gospel across the world through music that not only captures the attention of believers and non-believers alike, but conveys the power that is within Jesus Christ to save and bring restoration.
He sent an email to GS in 2012 in which he never got a response…it was simply because GS was overwhelmed with the amount of emails coming in. But, being as persistent and consistent as he is, he not only had an opportunity to talk to GS but now they are label mates. He understood that God works through his faith and he gets to work side by side one of his favorite artists. He has an AMAZING gift and soon the world will see.
