Originally from the South of France, Sebastien “Nine.” Plassais built his musical universe around his Reunion island roots and his passion for music in general.

With touches of Trap, old school Hip-Hop, Pop and RnB, Nine. is one of the most accomplished artists you will get to discover this year. After starting his career as a sound engineer in famous Parisian recording studios like Plus XXX and Belleville Studios, Nine. left Paris for New York City in 2008, where he quickly enrolled as an engineer in the legendary Quad recording studios.
Nine. collaborated with many artists there, mentored by his peers from the recording industry: Stuart White (Beyoncé), Mikki Tsutsumi (Alicia Keys), Rande Johnson (Busta Rhymes), and Robert “LB” Dorsey (Solange, The Roots).

Benefiting from poetic writing and strong producing skills, Nine. knows how to surround himself with “la crème de la crème”. Collaborating with either major artists of our generation up to his Reunion Island’s roots with ancestral Maloya & Sega, Pop, Soul, Jazz and more, french rapper Nine. who continuously diversifies his skills by creating music for dancers, movies, documentaries, theater shows and music halls is a one of kind music producer, rapper and entertainer.

In March 2022, Nine. released his first solo album as an artist with J9 Productions, entitled “Lack Of Time”.

Entirely produced and written by Nine., the album also features legendary mixing engineer Richard “Segal” Huredia (Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Nate Dogg, etc), Michael Manitshana (Nasty C, Tellaman, Sauti Sol), as well as Reunion Island’s most famous Maloya group: Lindigo.
