Niia Bertino (born July 11, 1988), better known by her stage name Niia, is an American singer, songwriter and pianist from Needham, Massachusetts.
After making her musical debut as a feature on Wyclef Jean’s 2007 single “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill),” Niia posted a series of original songs and covers to her SoundCloud page. An EP titled Generation Blue followed in 2014, and she later signed to Atlantic Records in 2016. Her debut album, I, was released in May 2017 preceded by the singles “Last Night in Los Feliz,” “Hurt You First” and “Sideline.” Niia left Atlantic in 2018 and began work on her second album independently: the resulting II: La Bella Vita, released on February 14, 2020, features the singles “Face,” “Whatever You Want” and the Mariah Carey nod “Obsession.”
