The product of Nashville-based songwriter and vocalist Winston Yellen, Night Beds has fused 21st century indie folk onto a foundation of pure, Gram Parsons-inspired Americana and country.

The band produced a trilogy of EPs—Night Beds, Hide From It, and Every Fire; Every Joy—prior to releasing a full-length debut album produced with the assistance of Dead Oceans Records, titled Country Sleep, which was released in 2013.

In 2015, Night Beds released their second album, Ivywild. Unlike Country Sleep, which consisted of alternative country, Ivywild strayed from the band’s original style, and shifted to a melancholy, neon-tinged R&B.
