Nicolás Gómez Dávila (1913-1994) was a Colombian thinker and author of aphorisms. His work is marked by a strong reactionary tendency, in religious, philosophical and political spheres. He advocated a traditional, hierarchical society, the Catholic Church in its pre-Vatican II era, and pre-Enlightenment thought.
