Nicoleta Alexandru known as “Nicola” is a romanian singer, born in Bucharest on November 5, 1968. She is best known for representing Romania at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest.

She won the Fantazio theater prize with the musical group “FORTE” at the Mamaia Festival in 1985. In 1988, she starts a solo career with the band “RIFF” and performs at several music festivals across the country. On 1 March 2003, after a huge response to her song Don’t Break My HeartNicola won the Romanian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest at Riga. In the international final, she came in 10th place.
