Nick Hornby (born 1957) is an English writer best known for his novels About a Boy and High Fidelity. His screenplays for An Education and Brooklyn earned him Academy Award nominations. Hornby collaborated with Ben Folds on the album Lonely Avenue, for which Hornby wrote lyrics that Folds put to music. Hornby has written the Believer magazine column “Stuff I’ve Been Reading” since 2003.
