Nick DeCaro

Nick DeCaro is an arranger, producer, musician, songwriter and recording artist. His body of work includes many albums from the ‘70s and '80s, while it is his own solo recordings upon which his reputation rests in Japan, where he was enormously popular as a performer. He arranged 'Home Of The Brave’ by Bonnie & the Treasures on Phil Spector’s Phi-Dan label, and ‘The Thrill Is Gone’, one of four titles he arranged for Clydie King. With Jackie DeShannon he co-wrote ‘Is There Anything I Can Do’, a folk-rock opus recorded by the Ashes, and Sandpipers' revamp of ‘Louie, Louie’.

His solo album “Italian Graffiti” was originally recorded in 1974 and co-produced with long-time friend and colleague, Tommy Lipuma. The record does not contain any of Nick’s own songs but features instead carefully selected pearls from an eclectic set of fine songwriters including Van McCoy, Stevie Wonder, Randy Newman, Todd Rundgren and Joni Mitchell.
