Nicci Gilbert is a singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur. She began as a leader of R&B trio Brownstone and anchored hits such as “If You Love Me” and “5 Miles To Empty” in the 90’s.
Following her tenure in Brownstone, she recorded a solo album entitled Grown Folks Music for MCA Records in 2002. Though MCA shelved the album, it eventually saw an independent release in 2008 on Nicci’s own label.
In 2012, Nicci launched a reality television show R&B Divas on TV One starring herself, Faith Evans, Monifah, Keke Wyatt, and Syleena Johnson. The R&B Divas album featuring artists from the show eventually garnered a Grammy nomination.
