Nevelle was born in North Carolina but raised in Alabama. He was asked to describe his style in an interview with Jene Greer. He said
I make intergalactic Southern music. I don’t like to be confined to any genre, like trap or being labeled as a hip-hop artist, or just a rapper, or a singer. I want to show that there’s something new out there. I want to be the alternative for people who are tired of listening to everything else. I’m something new, something innovative.
