Negativland is an American experimental music band which originated in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 70s. Negativland has released a number of albums ranging from pure sound collage to more musical expositions. These have mostly been released on their own label, Seeland Records. They have had their own radio show, broadcast on KPFA/Pacifica Radio since the early 1980’s called “Over the Edge”. Several of their album concepts, notably the infamous “U2” record, have origin in the radio program. Negativland has also released several records that are compilations of their related show.
