Rapper, producer & songwriter Nikko “Neako” Bailey, was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey on April 23, 1986. He started rapping at 13 years old in neighbourhood cyphers and knew right away that rap was what he wanted to pursue.
Along with his rapping ability, Neako flexes profound production ability on his self produced mixtapes, Ess Ess and LOUDpack Tree, as well as his album These Are The Times (T.A.T.T.). Neako has also sporadically produced on songs from his mixtapes and has mentioned Prince and Michael Jackson as his major influences in his production style.
Not only has Neako produced music for himself, but he’s also produced for his former LVLYSL label mates Fresh Moss and Bonnie Blunts. He boasts production credits on Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg’s track, “Dev’s Song”. The song was part of Wiz and Snoop’s collaborative soundtrack to their 2012 stoner film Mac & Devin Go To Highschool. Neako’s collaborated with other big names in Hip Hop such as Juicy J, and Bun B, as well as other Hip-Hop artists: Curren$y, Yelawolf, Derek Wise of 88GLAM, and Playboi Carti
Neako’s catalogue is very extensive., consisting of one commercial studio album and 20+ free mixtapes & EP’s, which are now only available on Apple Music, Tidal, and Spotify
The Rubix Cube: Red Edition mixtapes was released as Neako’s first official project in 2007. And his latest offering was in 2015, with his How R We Gettin’ High? mixtape.
