NCT is an SM Entertainment label member-fluid group that includes various subunits, members, and music genres.

NCT is an abbreviation for Neo Culture Technology, which represents SM Entertainment’s new and “evolutionary” approach to the Korean and worldwide music industry. They are the first K-Pop group to have multiple types of different subunits (rotational, graduation-system, fixed line-up) and consistently adds new members and creates project groups.

Current active subunits include NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, NCT DOJAEJUNG, and NCT WISH. In 2023, the NCT System concluded with the survival show NCT Universe: LASTART which formed the final unit NCT WISH.

The group has released four year-based projects so far that include all active members at that point — NCT 2018, NCT 2020, NCT 2021, and NCT 2023.

The final line-up includes, NCT 127 (Taeil, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Yuta, Mark, Haechan, Johnny, Doyoung, Jungwoo), NCT DREAM (Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Renjun, Chenle, Jisung), WayV (Kun, Ten, Winwin, Xiaojun, Hendery, Yangyang), NCT DOJAEJUNG (Jaehyun, Doyoung, Jungwoo), and NCT WISH (Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jungmin, Daeyoung, Ryo, Sakuya)

Former NCT members include Lucas, Shotaro, and Sungchan.
