New York City-based trio Natural Resource comprises MC’s Ocean, What?What?, better known under the moniker of Jean Grae and DJ James “Aggie” Barrett. In 1996, the group released a pair of 12-inch singles, “Negro League Baseball,” “Bum Deal,” “They Lied” and two remixes of the latter tracks.
The following year, the group released their second follow up, “I Love This World,” released on the Brooklyn based indie label Makin' Records. However, the group was short-lived. Grae later embarked on a solo career working with the likes of Mr. Len, Masta Ace and Da Beatminerz.
