Nasty C is a hip hop artist born in Soweto but raised in Durban, South Africa. He was the youngest recipient for an award at the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards, where he received the Best Freshman Award. At the age of twenty, he was already regarded as one of the prominent South African rappers. He burst into international consciousness through the success of the global hit Particula with the renowned Major Lazer. His album Strings and Bling dominated the iTunes charts in South Africa and helped to propel his career further in the right direction. He has proven that he is not a one-hit wonder as he continues to produce hits and dominate the heavily contested charts.
