Narada Michael Walden (born April 23, 1952) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. His name Narada was given to him by the spiritual leader Sri Chinmoy.
In his youth Michael was a member of several rock bands in Miami, Florida. Later he started his solo career making R&B music. As a record producer, he has worked with Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, Mariah Carey, The Temptations, and many others.
Michael Walden has been nominated eight Grammy Awards, winning three: Best R&B song for “Freeway of Love” (1985), Producer of the Year, Non-Classical (1987), and Albim of the Year for The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album (1993).
