Naomi Judd

Diana Ellen “Naomi” Judd was born January 11, 1946 in Ashland, Kentucky. She is the daughter of Charles Glen & Pauline Oliver Judd. Naomi is the mother of Wynonna Judd, who she had when she was only 18. Naomi was not married to Wynonna’s biological father, but Wynonna grew up with Naomi’s first husband’s, Michael Ciminella’s, last name. She and Ciminella also share a daughter, Ashley Tyler Ciminella, better known as actress Ashley Judd. Naomi has been married to Larry Strickland since May 6, 1989. In 1983 Naomi and Wynonna formed the country music duo The Judds.

On April 30, 2022, Naomi Judd died at the age of 76.
