Roman Shokuri, known by his stage name, Namor, is an independent artist, producer, singer, and songwriter from California’s Bay Area.

With influences including The Weeknd, Giorgio Moroder, Lana Del Rey, Travis Scott, and Daft Punk, Namor developed a versatile, R&B/pop style of alternative production with hints of electronic elements, gathering various vocalists to collaborate and shine on the silky-smooth tracks. He has expressed his love for combining the sound of modern musical genres with the retro and “futuristic” sound of the 1980s, which can be heard through his consistent use of synthesizers.

Shokuri released several singles before making his debut as Namor with “Your Love Tonight,” a collaboration with Tucker Starbuck that released on December 18, 2020. His second single, the Lea Fromm-assisted “KISS ME,” was released on September 17, 2021.

On February 24, 2023, Namor released his debut studio album, Mile High Club. It was preceded by the Tucker Starbuck-assisted singles “Breathe” and “Miles High,” and features contributions from Starbuck, Lea Fromm, LifeOnMarzz, and House of Carbon.

While he has yet to break out into the mainstream, Namor scored a placement on Swae Lee’s February 2021 track “Hazmat Suit.” His early releases and collaborations have only scratched the surface of his creative potential and leave us with burning anticipation for his future projects.
