Najee L. Murphy (12/24/1989-1/7/2020) a.k.a. Naj Murph was an American rapper from the town of Newburgh, NY, about an hour outside of New York City.
Even before his debut project Heir Murph, Murph had already generated some buzz through some loose tracks such as “Little This Little That” and a “Keep Their Heads Ringing” freestyle which amassed millions of plays on Soundcloud.
Murph would gain further buzz with his premiere, Heir Murph, in addition to further visibility when his song “J-Walking” was featured in a Supreme spot with Tyler, The Creator and late designer Glenn O'Brien.
Murph had remained a just-below-the-surface sizzling artist for several years moving forward, continuing to showcase his rapping ability with a plethora of music published onto Soundcloud, collaborating with names such as Mario Judah and his brother Oswin Benjamin.
Naj Murph passed away at the age of 30 on January 7th, 2020 following complications from a seizure.
