N'Dea Davenport is best known as lead singer for The Brand New Heavies, an acid jazz/funk band that notched hits throughout the early 90’s with N'Dea such as “Never Stop”, “Dream Come True”, “Brother Sister”, and “Dream On Dreamer”.

Davenport left the Heavies after recording Brother Sister to sign with V2 Records and record her ambitious multi-genre solo debut simply entitled N'Dea Davenport. But after shuffling through a number of high profile lead singers, N'Dea briefly rejoined the Heavies by popular demand for their 2008 comeback album Get Used To It.
